MEMPHIS, TN- John Perry Cave, 68 passed away May 23, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. John was born at Tripler General Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii on September 8th 1949. John was a Vietnam Veteran in the Army. After leaving the Army he proceeded to expand his education and was certified in Warehousing and Inventory Control. He loved sports (San Diego Padres) and music (all genres) His happiest moments were playing Santa Clause at Christmas time for all the children. John was a very warm hearted, generous and loving person. Everyone that knew him loved him and will greatly miss him. Although he grew up in San Diego, CA he moved to Memphis, TN to live near his Brother Dan and his Sister-in-law Nancy and their massive family. In addition to his parents, his father Lt. Cmdr. George Perry Cave who served in the United States Navy and his mother Gertrude Jane Cave, John was preceded in death by his brother Captain, Paul M. Cave, who served in the United States Army. He is survived by his brother Dan R. Cave who retired as Master Gunnery Sgt., from the United States Marine Corp., his sister-in-law Nancy Cave and his sister Georgie Cave as well as niece’s Trudy Baxter, Theresa Roberts, Tammy Daugherty, Jennifer Sliger, Cindi Newman, his nephews, George P Cave II, Christopher Cave, Geoffrey Wyer and each of their respective families. A Celebration of Life will be held for John at a later date.
